Making wines in the area of Ucles, 100 km. East of Madrid, we found an old vineyard of Tempranillo giving excellent fruit.
In 2001 we decided to create a different wine with the grapes of this vineyard. After a careful vinification we aged the wine for 16 months in new barrels of French Allier oak and 2nd vintage barrels of American oak. Finally the wine was bottled in June 2003.
Our intention was to create a special wine of high quality where elegancy must win from power. We think that we succeeded. The wine will gain complexity in the bottle.
